New York Changes Give Ambit Energy an Even Bigger Advantage Over The Competition!
There are two changes occurring in New York:

1. All energy customers in New York will see an additional surcharge of 2%. The money is going into the State's coffers.
2. Beginning August 1, 2009, in the five boroughs of New York City, the state will begin collecting a 4.5% sales tax on the delivery portion of energy bills of customers who purchase energy from Energy Service Companies (ESCOs). Existing Con Ed customers already pay this tax, and will continue to do so.

The good news is Ambit Energy customers will still pay less annually than customers of incumbent providers such as Con Ed and National Grid. As you know, we are the only company that guarantees annual savings of at least 1%, and customers save 7% during their first 65 days with Ambit Energy.
